went clubstreet for a short meeting today. of course we didn't miss the yummy tongheng egg tarts. i think they have the bestest best egg tarts ever. :) i took the company's slr cause i can't find a smaller camera for the meeting. so one of the random shots i took. thats the ocbc tower in the middle right? looks so flat in the picture. like a paper building. haha

really didn't realise its thursday and going to be friday tml. this week is another hellish busy week. been rushing for a pitch design job since monday and today was the submission. me and maitri stayed in office till 2.30am last night to finish up the printing of the hardcopy proposal. really really cross finger pray hard that we will get this job!! so i told the boss that i will only come in to office at 12 noon. cause i really deprive of sleep? other then that i was also rushing some freelance job too. hahah. woosh.!!! but tonight should be better! at least i get to go home earlier. like now? :) goodbye! i'm going home....

oh ya. i just change my cleanser toner and face cream. here's my take.

its day 1. start with cleanser. i preferred those that have foam. i like the after washing feel. my skin turns soft and i don't get those tight pulling on my skin too. so its kinda quite good. i don't mind the smell. but it doesn't give me a refreshing feeling after wash. maybe cause just first day using. hahaa.

toner. its kind of no smell. feels quite good. i pour it on the cotton and wipe on my face. i compare the dirt with yesterday's. turns out that the cleanser is really doing its job. good.

face cream. nice smell. i thought it was a little oily but after applying for a while prolly my skin absorb the cream or what. it turns out to be better. good good

tml morning i shall try and see how again! i still miss my old cleanser though... ahahaha.

so fast. the long holiday is over............

I think as we grew older, cny seems less fun. haha. still it was a pleasant one.

i went to my grandma house in malaysia. my cousins all grow up le. drive car working all sorts.

we use to play like mad but now we feel so shy to talk to each other. or rather maybe theres no common topic ba. i tried talking more to those closer ones. i'm glad we can keep in touch by using facebook! on the last night i asked my cousin drive me to nearby by mac so i can use the wireless. ahaha. cause from young we are use to calling each other by the last name. then i finally get to know his full name and christian name. haah!

last year i saw many new members in the family. i thought this year i should bring a good camera back and take down all these scenes. but i haven got a decent camera. maybe next year! i seriously hope. the folks are getting older but thank God they are still healthy and strong :)

okay. shall stop here and i'll continue more about this cny period tml!

my eyesight is getting poorer

today is such a busy day. during the first half of the day. i thought i can finish up asap and go home at 6. who knows things changed after lunch. in fact me and jiawan was like rushing mad.

i thought new year season shouldn't be much work. totally opposite way.

anyway. i rushed the last print job before i run off. i hope nothing goes wrong! i'm trying to download it and see if there's any problem. so i thought of coming to do some updates here :)

i'm thinking after new year, i must meet my friends more often! people like aunty lao, xiyun and huiminday. Of course i can't miss joanne koh's name right. haahas. we don't need to do anything costly or entertaining. just the company of each other will do as great.

splurge of the month. smashbox primer and concealer. so far this primer is really doing a good job! it is easy to apply and more over it really makes my bb cream last longer. it also helps to reduce wrinkle and pore according to the review. though it hurts my heart. but i will say you pay for its quality.

oh ya. i did my nails. i tried something i never did or think before. pink nails! quite sweet though. hahaha

Plus some new bras and undies which i got for present last year for my birthday. so new year new clothes new bra new panties! hahaaha

heart acheee!!!! with all plus together. i spend my entire month's pocket money. :/

so for the rest of the month i shall watch my spending and eat simple meals!

What a busy Monday.

wanted to blog this a few days ago. two unsightful scene in two days.
first. i was on dearx2's bike. traffic junction stop. theres this car beside us. the min i turn over i saw him digging nose. i turn back laughing teasing dearx2 and ask him to look. the next moment we turn back. his finger is in his mouth. urgh.

i was out for lunch with my colleagues at chinatown one of the market place coffee shop. the one with famous yong tau foo. while i was queueing. this uncle sitting beside was eating a plate of i think cha shao rice. 1st look. busying chewing his rice. 2nd look. he took out smth from the rice. something black. 3rd look. the uncle tossing the black thing and realise ITS A BABY COCKROACH. damn. and he spit out the rice in his mouth. ewwww. double urgh.

yesterday i went to CGH sport medical centre for my appointment. i think the doctor is funny. the way he speaks. its funny. too bad i can't see his face. cause we're all wearing the mask. still got to scan my IC before i can enter the hospital can. i was expecting to go through some detail scanning. but to my surprise, he says i probably hurt one of the muscle on my hip area after this physical examination. which is twist twist here. press press there. hahahaa. i felt funny cause sometimes he will press onto some funny bones.

then after which. he gave me a paper with some hip stretching. he say i got to do this every day. and i will have to go back for physio therapy. i think it gonna take some time for my leg to heal ba...

*** one big discovery. rum & raisin goes well with brownie :) its really good. don't believe? try that at ice cream chef!

had a nice and simple weekend spent with my dearx2. hee.

i just like it. even though we're just staying home but with each others' company. no matter what also valuable :) on sat i went to collect my x ray result. its normal but the pain is there. so they refer me to CGH. the appointment is tml. i really want to get well again. i want to jog, run the reservoir again.

after that i met dearx2. went to suntec carrefour for a walk. i love to shop supermarket. then we saw some loaf of bread. and this extra big size bun that looks like.. 6 pac? hahha!

it's the working life

oh man. its monday already.
its gonna be a new start and i'll prolly be facing new challenges.
but prolly before i realise it might be another week past already.
thats how fast work is shredding my life away.

BUT. i kind of enjoy the feeling of being able to finish all the jobs i list in my to do list
every morning.
i kind of enjoy the feeling of being busy busy putting all my concentrations on my work.
because i know the outcome will be nice!
i think this is call 'workaholic disease'. hahahaha. maybe not so serious? just the minor kind?

oh wells. enough of work.

friday night out with my friends. ahhaha. really enjoying but got to control. no more late night!
saturday was the long await facial session. cause i feel pampered and their shoulder massage is good. once in a while of relaxation is what i really need!! i wish bf can give me shoulder massage that is as good! whahahah. i shall dream that. night should be some safra gathering. but everybody is busy with their stuff so me and bf went to a thai restaurant at kovan. and its really really nice. i think i NEED to go back there soon for more food. :):) then bf bring me rounding. chui chui feng. burn the petrol. whaha. once in a while of chui chui feng is really nice. but can cause serious butt ache. tee hee.
then came sunday which is as usual church day. met aunty lao after church to shop around. nothing much to get. SIAN.

time for update

today i had a meeting with my colleagues and boss. 

and we learnt a valuable lesson about different between EQ and IQ.

he said frankly to us. people who only work with IQ will not going anywhere far. Only those who has got high EQ climb the highest. simple to say, its knowing human behavior and acting according to the situation.

This really makes me ponder and go into deep thoughts. At the same time making me realise more about the reality of the world. its definitely time for us to grow and climb higher from where we are now. he said transition period are always difficult. But once we are through, we are one step higher. i really look forward to the day coming soon. Its back to the reality of the world. For instance, everybody has their own goal. like mine, i want a mini cooper. How can i ever achieve it if i'm still in my present situation. It's almost impossible.

The only way to achieve is to go beyond what i am doing now. other then designing i can also try to do some coordination directly with client securing the account. which goes back to using EQ. 

imagine if a client comes to you and say he want this design to be this way. you know of a better way and straight away pulls down his idea. how will he feel? He is being rejected instantly.

But if you turn it another way and say you think this idea is not bad. it could be workable just that we can improvise on certain parts. This is very different. It means that the clients idea is being acknowledge and accepted. Of course the client will feel good. This is human behavior. compare to the previous one which do you think the client will prefer to work with.

I'm not trying to say is like being a fake person or what. But is the way you phrase your words.

I guess its really an important lesson about working with different people.
